Beaches in the South of France

The beaches are a top attraction of the South of France. There are many great beaches to choose from…

The best sandy beaches are found in the Languedoc Roussillon. Popular beaches there include the top resort in France, Cap d’Agde. Other good choices are Sete and La Tamarissiere.

In Aquitaine there are also some good beaches and the coast at Biarritz is the most famous!

In Provence Alps Cote d’Azur the beaches are generally mainly pebble but they are still very popular with locals and toursits. The coastal city of Nice is a major tourist hotspot there.

We all enjoyed another day on the beach today. Especially Mac (who is featured in some of the photos!)

South of France is normally considered to be Med coast and the Atlantic Coast near Spain. The French med coast is about 650km long so lots of choice ? Poitou-Charentes is somewhere in the midlands !The Atlantic coast and the Languedoc Med coast are quieter and cheaper than Provence / Cote d’Azur. Languedoc also has many more cheap flight connections than Cote d’Azur and the Biarritz areas. Why not research Marseillan Plage, as a starter ?Peter
