Mount Ramus
There are some interesting extinct ancient volcanoes in the South of France. In St Thibery, in the Languedoc, the volcano “Mount Ramus” offers some magnificent views of the Languedoc and Midi Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea with Spain off in the distance.
In the village of St Thibery itself there are also volcanic features known as the basalt “organ” columns (Les orgues Basaltiques). See the photos below:
